Side quests are given by random characters with white names found at stations.
In this chapter, you can find a list of available side quests. The characters associated with them are at the stations, and their names are colored white. You don't have to do them, but some of them are very lucrative, and doing them can be a good way to take a break from city hall contracts. It is worth checking this list immediately after launching the game.
Warning: Some characters may not appear immediately, but after a while (regarding historical events and characters such as Samuel Colt or Abraham Lincoln). Some heroes may require you to transport them to other locations, but this does not happen often. They are located at stations in randomly selected cities, but they always have the same names. This also applies to the nature of their quests.
Joseph Gaietti: Medical Paper (8x) Transport - Money and Experience;
Elisha Duffy: Transport food (3 times) to Boston and Portland - if you haggle a little during your first conversation with him, you will receive $100 or a slightly damaged small passenger car.
Rose O'Neil Greenhow: asks you to transport and deliver ammunition (6x) - experience, a lot of money and increased reputation of the Confederates.
Frank Workman: Related to the main storyline - he promises that if you deliver Mary's letter to Portland, he will tell you where you should look for Robert Reed (Mary gives this information);
Graham Schmidt: Related to the main storyline. If you bring him one chest from the designated city, he can tell you where you should look for Robert Reed, or he can pay you (appears only in the free game).
Bennett Harmon: Moving 6 chests of weapons is money.
Samuel Colt: Go to Wilmington and get a revolver for demonstration (requires a positive reputation in Wilmington). In practice, you can keep the revolver for yourself instead of completing the quest. For this task, you get money and experience, but you also get a new quest with the same good reward as the previous one.:Bring the weapon Chests (14x) back to the quest giver.
