Tank
Basic information
Your main role as a tank in Tom Clancy's The Division is to divert the enemies' attention so that they focus their fire on you instead of your teammates, allowing them to do their job of dealing damage. Building a tank in this game is very different from other games - you won't accumulate an absurd amount of health to survive an enemy attack. Instead, you should focus on increasing your skill power.
This is because even with 150,000 health points, enemies at the Challenge difficulty level and some of them in the highest areas of the Dark Zone will be able to kill you in a few shots. This is even more obvious when dealing with enemies armed with shotguns - they can inflict an absurd amount of damage, capable of killing an ordinary character with one shot.
With great skill power, you will be able to neutralize enemies using a ballistic shield, which will be your main tool. After activating it, the character creates a shield capable of withstanding gigantic attacks. The right amount of skill power is crucial, as it will allow your shield to absorb over 500,000 damage, which is several times more than when using normal health. Additionally, a broken shield can be easily replaced by reactivating the ability.
Key Attributes
The following is required for this build to work:
High skill power - from 40,000 to 45,000. This will allow your shield to have more than half a million health points. In addition, all your abilities will become more effective, and their recovery time will be significantly reduced.
Skill Haste is essentially a reduction in cooldown in this game. The faster your abilities reset, the more often you will be able to use them.
Armor. This will reduce the damage you receive from enemy bullets. Remember that armor does not affect the amount of damage received from other sources (you will need exotic resistance for this). The optimal value should be between 4,500 and 5,000 armor units. You should not increase it further, as the amount of damage reduction decreases rapidly when the armor value exceeds 5,000 points.
Protection against the Elite. Most high-level enemies are classified as "elite", which means that every 1% of this characteristic also reduces their damage by 1%.
A bonus to a certain ability (as a secondary attribute of the equipment): to the ballistic shield and any other ability that you are going to use.
